TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another glorious Friday; I definitely put on my spring coat this morning. I think we can fffffinally say that spring is in the air and if you are right Noah, I know, I owe you a 2-6! I kinda hope you are right!

Went for a delicious AND CHEAP dinner last night at The Drake Hotel. Imagine this, a burger with bacon and cheese, fries or salad, and a pint of beer, all for $10!!!! Like woah, I know. The food was stellar and included a toy! I got bubbles, my FAV! Is this new recession-friendly menu they have called the "Starving Artist Menu", everything is amazing on it.

Rusko on Monday at the Social. Definitely going to have a tame weekend so I can give'r Monday and still make it in one piece to work Tuesday.

CANADIAN MUSIC WEEEEEEEEEEEEEK will be wrapping up this weekend. In my opinion it wasn't as good as last year's, maybe the hype surrounding it was simply lacking.
BUT, a super good showcase is happenin' tomorrow at Wrongbar. Here's a small rundown on a few of the artists I know:
- The stellar, previously mentioned, always in my "recently played" playlist group, Grand Analog
- OPOPO, I was lucky enough to stand behind the scenes and watched the shooting of their new music vid, Blast Blast.
- The Hood Internet, they have one of my top music websites: http://www.thehoodinternet.com/.

If you aren't sold yet, Wrongbar is also serving until 4am, ahahaha, gotacha!!!

See you tomorrow around this town!!!

Eats in TO

Went out on a hot date, with my wonderful mother last night; decided to drag her across the city over to Ossington Street to a sweet little spot called Foxley.

Dinner was fabulous and not super pretentious or expensive. The best part about it was when we got there they were at maximum capacity with a small lineup I was fine to wait, but my mom was a bit antsy. Fret not!!! The waitress offered to take our phone number and said we should go for a drink across the street and they would call us when a table came up. So we did, and they did!

We ordered the wahoo ceviche, the duck and lamb dumplings (my personal fav), the asian greens, and the duck breast in port reduction, and somthing else, cant remember what right now... But everything was top notch, including the service!

What a lovely Wednesday night!

A Room with a View

"The Dynamic Tower, the world's first building in motion, will become a symbol of Dubai, the City of the Future," states the Dynamic Architecture website.

Construction is set to begin very soon on Dubai's Rotating Skyscraper.
Interesting concept, I think its an awesome idea that the view is shared by all tenants. At first, I was a little apprehensive about the waste of energy required, but then I read further, that wind turbines and solar cells will be positioned between each floor, which are supposed to provide enough electricity to power at least the entire building, possibly even neighboring buildings...

It should take about one hour to see the entire (360 degree) skyline view of Dubai. The architect David Fisher calls it "a green power plant," way to get with the times!

Price range on these condos start at $3 million to $30 million - and there are already 1,100 people on the waiting list for these 200 apartments. There will also be a drive in elevator that allows all tenants to park directly outside their suite, yummy, sharing the recycled condo air with car emissions, weaksauce!

Is there any other song to get ready to?

Be mine?

Tried these kicks on the other day. Unfortunately, didn't leave the store with them.

Although, I DID leave with a mega crush on the salesman though, tee, hee, hee, giggle, giggle...

Well, It's about time!

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir today. He is the first head of state ever to be charged while still in power. Let's hope this leads to him actually being arrested.

"He is suspected of being criminally responsible … for intentionally directing attacks against an important part of the civilian population of Darfur, Sudan, murdering, exterminating, raping, torturing and forcibly transferring large numbers of civilians, and pillaging their property," YUCK!

Monday, Monday.

Although it is deceivingly cold, it's another absolutely FAB Monday and the sun is shining its beautiful rays on us all. The smells on the streetcar this morning were god awful, I cannot wait until I have an alternate mode of transportation; I am going to write my M1 either today or tomorrow at lunch - wAhOOOOO!

Last week was interesting, Stephie and I decided we wanted to do a bicarbonate waste challenge, where we tried not to use things that were plastic, or if we did, at least reuse it. This proved next to impossible. There is PLASTIC ON EVERYTHING! There was plastic, wrapped in plastic, which was wrapped in cardboard, I was deceived a number of times, thinking I was on point, all proud of my purchase until I opened it up. This turned into a social experiment, with sad results. I did say no to lots of plastic though. A few friends of mine have stopped using plastic bottles at work, or so they "claim"... When I challenged Tenny, this was the response I got via bbm:

HAHAHA! Don't worry I believe you now. I'm just trying to save the world one plastic bottle at a time. :D

A super wicked thing has been happening to me; I think I have finally gotten over my apple allergy! When I turned 18 i became allergic to most fruits: apples, pears, plums, cherries, peaches, nectarines, I think that's it. Same happened to my father. It really sucked, I had to carry an EpiPen, still do, just in case as I never really stopped eating them until this past summer because the side effects were bruts!
Lately, I have been jonsing harrrrd for an apple, and last week, EpiPen in one hand, apple in the other I ate one, and nothing. To date, I have had 3 apples and everything seems fine.
Fingers crossed that this is the dawn of a new day for meeeeeeeee!

Leave you with this sneak peak at A-trizzle's newest. I cannot waaaaaaait!
